Baseball Recap: Porum Triumphs

Porum's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 13-8 win over the Porter Pirates. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

M Tripp was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of S Robinson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Porum kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Porum's win bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Porter, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-15.

Looking ahead, Porum will challenge Warner at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Eagles have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Porter, they will take on Nowata at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
