Basketball Game Preview: Haskell Haymakers vs. Porter Pirates

Haskell is 1-9 against Porter since January of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Haymakers will venture away from home to face off against the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Tuesday, Haskell came up short against Summit Christian Academy and fell 35-27.

Meanwhile, Porter also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Oktaha by a score of 40-30. The Pirates have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Porter's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Haskell, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-20.

Haskell couldn't quite get it done against Porter when the teams last played back in December of 2025 as they fell 44-32. Can the Haymakers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
