Arlington waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They skirted past the Belmont Marauders 3-2. That's more bragging rights for Arlington, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Natalia Fotopoulos made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). Fotopoulos has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in four consecutive pitching appearances. Fotopoulos was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Monica Obedzinski was excellent, going 2-for-3 with a stolen base and two RBI.
Arlington has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Belmont, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.
