Softball Recap: Coleman Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sacred Heart Academy, Coleman was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 3-0 win over the Carrollton Cavaliers. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Comets as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Carrollton's batters probably weren't too happy with Isabelle Lewis, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 11 Ks (she gave up a single walk).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Eliza Lewis, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

Coleman's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Carrollton, their loss was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Coleman beat the Cavaliers by a score of 6-1 later that day.
