Basketball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Faith Christian's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

Faith Christian lost to Dayspring Christian Academy back in November of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Faith Christian Warriors snuck past the Dayspring Christian Academy Lions with a 36-30 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Among those leading the charge was John Whitmore, who posted ten points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Graham Whitaker was another key player, putting up four points and three steals.

Faith Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Faith Christian has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Faith Christian will head out to challenge Temple Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Temple Christian will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Faith Christian surely won't give up without a fight. Dayspring Christian Academy has already played their next game (against Surry HomeSchool), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
