They came up short against  the Western Reserve Blue Devils, falling  36-14. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings  (they are ranked 594th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 253rd).
  Jack Darney continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Western Reserve, rushing for 197 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. The dominant performance gave  Darney a new career-high in  rushing yards.
 Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Western Reserve, the  win for them keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
 Memorial is taking a road trip to  square off against Mineral Ridge  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Western Reserve, they will square off against Springfield at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both  have allowed few  points on average, (Western Reserve: 14.3, Springfield: 16.5) so any  points scored will be well earned.
