Soccer Recap: Spencerville Comes Up Short

Spencerville lost against Memorial back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bearcats lost 7-0 to the Roughriders. While losing is never fun, Spencerville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 538th, while Memorial are ranked 96th).

Spencerville has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 0-7-2 record this season. As for Memorial, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spencerville will welcome Botkins at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Memorial, they will be playing at home against Springfield at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
