Baseball Recap: Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Charlestown hit Christian Academy with a ten-run fifth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Warriors might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 17-7 to the Pirates, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Charlestown, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Christian Academy is taking a road trip to take on Crawford County at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Warriors are facing the Wolfpack at the right time seeing as the Wolfpack are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Charlestown, they will square off against Corydon Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
