Beaverton's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Millington Cardinals as they made off with a 9-2 victory. The Beavers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by seven runs or more this season.

Beaverton pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Millington, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-8-1.

Beaverton and Millington should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Beavers (ranked 138th) will meet Coleman (ranked 567th) at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Millington will challenge Birch Run at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (159 vs. 320).
