Basketball Recap: Carson Saylor and Aaron Hampton Secure Win for Scott

There's no place like home for Scott, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They secured a 69-64 W over the Holmes Bulldogs on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Scott was led to victory by Aaron Hampton and Carson Saylor. Hampton dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten rebounds, while Saylor went 9-for-16 en route to 21 points and three steals. Those 21 points gave Saylor a new career-high. Dereck Overman was another key player, putting up six points and five boards.

Scott's record now sits at 9-14. As for Holmes, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-11.

Looking ahead, Scott will host Simon Kenton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Holmes, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 72-65 loss against Augusta on the 13th.
