Baseball Game Preview: City College Black Knights vs. Winters Mill Falcons

The City College Black Knights will venture away from home to face off against the Winters Mill Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. City College's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Winters Mill's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

City College's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Wednesday. They put the hurt on Dunbar with a sharp 9-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Black Knights in their matchups with the Poets: they've now won seven in a row.

Winters Mill let Glen Burnie stack four runs on them in the sixth inning on Saturday but luckily Winters Mill prevailed anyway. The Falcons had just enough and edged out the Gophers 7-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

The win got City College back to even at 2-2-1. As for Winters Mill, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.
