Preview: Port Angeles vs. Sequim

After two weeks on the road, Sequim is heading back home. On Friday they take on Port Angeles at 7:00 PM. The match looks good for Sequim since they are the big favorites in the MaxPreps state rankings.

Sequim might be getting used to good results now that the squad have six wins in a row. They enjoyed a cozy 28-9 win over Olympic. Sequim found Sequim's leader in underclassman sophomore Taig Wiker, who rushed for 262 yards and 2 touchdowns. Cowan has now scored at least one touchdown in the past six games.

Meanwhile, after having lost a blowout in their matchup two weeks ago against Olympic, Port Angeles were happy to find some success last Friday. Port Angeles took down Bremerton 28-9.

Their wins bumped Sequim to 6-0 and Port Angeles to 2-4. In their victory, Sequim relied heavily on sophomore Taig Wiker, who rushed for 262 yards and 2 touchdowns. Port Angeles will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
