Basketball Recap: George Walton Academy's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

There's no place like home for George Walton Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. Everything went their way against the Riverside Military Academy Eagles on Tuesday as the George Walton Academy Bulldogs made off with a 69-49 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 70-38 back in December of 2024.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Muhammed Wade, who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Nik Wagers, who had 12 points.

With the victory, George Walton Academy broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-13. As for Riverside Military Academy, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-10.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Loganville Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Riverside Military Academy will head out to face Loganville Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while George Walton Academy will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
