Baseball Game Preview: Luray Bulldogs vs. Strasburg Rams

The Luray Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the Strasburg Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Luray came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Clarke County, falling 9-2. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Strasburg waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Panthers 16-1. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

Ryan Reynolds was a standout: he got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Flynn, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Luray's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Strasburg, their win bumped their record up to 15-2.

Luray might still be hurting after the 11-2 loss they got from Strasburg in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
