Grand Oaks won by a run and slipped past Willis 5-4. The win was some much needed relief for the Grizzlies as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Caney Creek lost 17-1 to Oak Ridge on Friday. The Panthers have struggled against the War Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Caney Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Grand Oaks, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7.

Everything went Grand Oaks' way against Caney Creek when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Grand Oaks made off with an 11-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Grand Oaks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
