Volleyball Recap: Maclay Marauders vs. Blountstown Tigers

Maclay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blountstown Tigers. The Marauders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-21, 26-28, 25-13.

Despite the loss, Maclay saw an underclassman step up: Isabella Krizner had nine digs and 13 assists. Those nine digs set a new season-high mark for Krizner.

Leading Blountstown to victory were Eden Mallory and Madalyn Hall. Mallory had 12 digs and four aces, while Hall had seven digs and 12 assists. Mallory is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in the last four games she's played.

Maclay's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Blountstown, their victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-7.
