Basketball Game Preview: Petrolia Pirates vs. Albany Lions

The Petrolia Pirates will venture away from home to square off against the Albany Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Albany took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Petrolia, who comes in off a win.

Petrolia took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 57-50 win over Olney.

Meanwhile, Albany had to suffer through a 55-22 loss at the hands of Whiteface. The contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Albany's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Petrolia, their victory bumped their record up to 10-15.

Petrolia came up short against Albany when the teams last played back in February of 2022, falling 52-45. Can Petrolia avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
