Baseball Game Preview: Granite Hills Eagles vs. Valhalla Norsemen

For the second straight game, Granite Hills will face off against Valhalla. The Eagles will face off against the Norsemen at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Granite Hills will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Granite Hills' pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top against Valhalla by a score of 3-0.

The result came thanks to Luke Bailey's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brenden Lewis, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Granite Hills pushed their record up to 15-0-2 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Valhalla, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-15.
