Recap: Quakertown Panthers vs. Hatboro-Horsham Hatters
The Quakertown Panthers won the last time they faced the Hatboro-Horsham Hatters, and things went their way on Friday too. Quakertown walked away with a 59-48 victory over Hatboro-Horsham.
Several Hatters players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ryan Smith, who scored 12 points along with six assists. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Shane Phillips, who scored 14 points.
Quakertown's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Hatboro-Horsham, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Quakertown will square off against Abington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Abington will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Hatboro-Horsham and Upper Dublin will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Upper Dublin presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hatboro-Horsham in Pennsylvania (Upper Dublin is ranked tenth, while Hatboro-Horsham is ranked 472nd).
