Volleyball Recap: Fortuna Takes a Loss

Fortuna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Del Norte Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 27-29, 25-14, 25-15.

Madilyn Roberts paced Fortuna's offense, picking up six kills. Roberts got some help from Jaydyn Dalton and her 16 assists. Finally, Olivia Powell kept Fortuna's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Fortuna's record is now 5-14. As for Del Norte, they moved to 18-7 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Fortuna wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Ferndale on the 8th. As for Del Norte, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Arcata at 6:30 p.m.
