Preview: Comer Tigers vs. Central of Coosa County Cougars
The Comer Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Central of Coosa County Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Comer has eight straight victories, Central of Coosa County has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, Comer got the win against Thorsby by a conclusive 35-13. The result was nothing new for Comer, who have now won seven matches by 22 points or more so far this season.
Kamore Harris was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown. Harris' longest rush was for an incredible 79 yards.
Meanwhile, Central of Coosa County had to suffer through a rough 50-8 loss at the hands of Fayetteville.
Comer's victory lifted them to 8-0 while Central of Coosa County's loss dropped them down to 2-5.
Everything came up roses for Comer against Central of Coosa County when the teams last played back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 48-8 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Comer since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
