Volleyball Recap: Banneker Gets the Win + How To Watch

Banneker lost to Bell back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Bulldogs walked away with a 2-0 win over the Griffins. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

While Banneker won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-23.

Banneker had a senior duo take command as Aidyn Higgins had ten aces and Gabriela Bautista had six aces. With that strong performance, Higgins is now averaging an impressive 2.8 aces per game.

Banneker was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in five consecutive matches.

Banneker's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Bell, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
