Softball Recap: Mineral Ridge's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mineral Ridge can now relate to. They fell 10-5 to the Crestview Rebels on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Rams have lost by exactly five runs.

Laney Rigley was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Sullivan Sandy was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Mineral Ridge's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-9. As for Crestview, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-10.

Mineral Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Crestview, they will take on Hillsdale at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rebels' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season.
