Basketball Game Preview: Southeastern HomeSchool Cardinals vs. Oak Forest Warriors

The Southeastern HomeSchool Cardinals will face off against the Oak Forest Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Southeastern HomeSchool is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.4 points per game this season.

Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Southeastern HomeSchool beat Chatham HomeSchool 56-50. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Thunder are ranked 322nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Southeastern HomeSchool can attribute much of their success to Max Brutus, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds, and Blake Batts, who posted 14 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Rayne Schoonmaker, who earned eight points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Oak Forest played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (63-42), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Southeastern HomeSchool is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.7 points per game. As for Oak Forest, their loss dropped their record down to 19-7.

Southeastern HomeSchool took their win against Oak Forest in their previous meeting on Friday by a conclusive 71-50. Will Southeastern HomeSchool repeat their success, or does Oak Forest have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
