Basketball Recap: Borah Takes a Loss

Borah managed to keep up with Centennial until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Borah Lions were dealt a 71-42 loss at the hands of the Centennial Patriots. The Lions lost against the Patriots in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 58-50 score last time.

It was another big night for Gabe Eddins, who went 6 of 12 en route to 18 points and three steals for Centennial. Eddins' evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Payton Knudson, who posted 12 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Borah and nudges their season record down to 5-4. As for Centennial, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Borah will challenge Timberline at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Centennial, they will face off against Eagle at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
