Baseball Game Preview: Eagle's View Warriors vs. Covenant School of Jacksonville Warriors

Eagle's View is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Harvest Community a 10-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for Eagle's View in their matchups with Harvest Community: they've now won eight in a row.

Eagle's View got a great performance from Mason Bass as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Bass also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Eagle's View is 4-2 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 8-12 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Kenai Wilkens was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Nathan La Rosa, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Covenant School of Jacksonville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They blew past Parsons Christian Academy 9-0 on Tuesday. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by nine runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Ryne Fennell, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Javien Strobridge, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Covenant School of Jacksonville's victory bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Eagle's View, their win bumped their record up to 12-14.

Eagle's View couldn't quite get it done against Covenant School of Jacksonville in their previous matchup back in March as they fell 5-1. Can Eagle's View avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
