Brownstown Central and Salem squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Brownstown Central had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 9-8. The Braves' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Olivia Justice and Kinzee Dean stepped up to the plate in a big way. Justice went 3-for-5 with one home run, while Dean went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Alex Davidson, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one double.

Brownstown Central's loss dropped their record down to 17-14. As for Salem, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-8.

Brownstown Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Salem, they will face off against Triton Central at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
