Brian Duncan commands the offense for Vikings win

Recap: Northeast Vikings vs. GEO Next Generation Tigers

Even though the GEO Next Generation Tigers scored an imposing 57 points on Tuesday, the Northeast Vikings still came out on top. Northeast took their match against GEO Next Generation 65-57. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Northeast.

Northeast got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brian Duncan out in front who scored 27 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Duncan has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 14 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Derrick Cavalier, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds.

Northeast is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. As for GEO Next Generation, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-11.

Northeast will take on Ferriday at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Northeast focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday. As for GEO Next Generation, they will head out on the road to take on Varnado at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. GEO Next Generation is facing Varnado at the right time seeing as Varnado is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
