Softball Recap: Fort Edward Takes a Loss

Fort Edward came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-2 to the Corinth Riverhawks. The loss continues a trend for the Flying Forts in their meetings with the Riverhawks: they've now lost five in a row.

Fort Edward saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rue Quarters, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Fort Edward's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Corinth, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Fort Edward will square off against rival Whitehall at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Corinth is set to face off against their familiar foe Granville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
