Soccer Recap: Cherokee Comes Up Short

Cherokee fell victim to Murphy and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 6-0. Cherokee haven't had much luck with Murphy recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Cherokee's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Murphy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3-1 record this season.

Cherokee will square off against Hayesville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cherokee will be up against Hayesville's rather soft defense (which has allowed six goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Murphy, they will head out to face off against Tri-County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Murphy are facing Tri-County at the right time seeing as Tri-County are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
