Desert Vista waltzed into their game on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Chandler Wolves with a sharp 16-1 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Thunder, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Zhalia Asi made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, Desert Vista let Ava Briski and Mckenzie Leitgen run wild. Briski fired off two home runs, four runs, and four RBI while going 4-for-4, while Leitgen went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those four RBI gave Briski a new career-high. Jessa Ramirez was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run and one stolen base.

Desert Vista kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive matchups.

Desert Vista's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Chandler, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-3.

Desert Vista has already played their next contest, a 21-1 victory against Valley Vista on the 5th. As for Chandler, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 17-2 win against Skyline on the 6th.
