Basketball Game Preview: Stockton Tigers vs. Rock Hills Grizzlies

The Stockton Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Rock Hills Grizzlies on Monday. Stockton's defense has only allowed 29 points per game this season, so Rock Hills' offense will have their work cut out for them.

Rock Hills is hoping to do what Natoma couldn't on Friday: put an end to Stockton's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Stockton blew past Natoma, posting a 59-23 victory. Given Stockton's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while Natoma is ranked 284th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Rock Hills hadn't done well against St. John's/Tipton Catholic recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Rock Hills came out on top in a nail-biter against St. John's/Tipton Catholic, sneaking past 60-58.

Stockton's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Rock Hills, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Stockton came up short against Rock Hills when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 49-42. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Rock Hills' Bethany Simmelink, who went 7 for 17 on her way to 25 points.
