Football Game Preview: Shamrock Irish vs. Memphis Cyclones

Shamrock is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Friday. They are taking a road trip to challenge the Memphis Cyclones at 7:00 p.m. Shamrock is looking for their season's first victory.

Last Friday, Shamrock took a blow against Spearman, falling 68-14.

Although Shamrock took the loss, they still got scores from Cross Stambaugh and Jaxon Smith.

Meanwhile, Memphis fell victim to Vega and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 20-0 to the Longhorns. The shutout was out of character for the Cyclones seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

Memphis now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Shamrock, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Shamrock took their win against Memphis in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 54-28 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Irish since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
