Volleyball Game Preview: Chiawana Riverhawks vs. Walla Walla Blue Devils + Official Tickets

The Chiawana Riverhawks will take on the Walla Walla Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Chiawana was handed a three-set defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Hanford 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Riverhawks in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won seven in a row.

Chiawana had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 23-25, 25-18, 25-22, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Walla Walla made easy work of Sageview on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win.

One reason for the win was Walla Walla's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-13, 25-9.

Chiawana's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Walla Walla, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
