Bjorn Molenaar commands the offense for a Mountain Lions win

Recap: Red Mountain Mountain Lions vs. Scottsdale Christian Academy Eagles

The Red Mountain Mountain Lions can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They came out on top against Scottsdale Christian Academy by a score of 64-54.

Red Mountain got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Bjorn Molenaar out in front who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Molenaar scored 15 or more points. Jaxon Griffin was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with nine rebounds.

The win got Red Mountain back to even at 8-8. As for Scottsdale Christian Academy, they bumped their record down to 2-5 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Red Mountain will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Highland at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th. Scottsdale Christian Academy is on the road again on Friday and play against Wickenburg at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th.
