Basketball Game Preview: Sherrard Tigers vs. Orion Chargers

Sherrard has won nine straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Orion has won nine straight on the road also dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Sherrard Tigers will welcome the Orion Chargers at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Sherrard will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Rockridge, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Sherrard slipped by Rockridge 40-39 on Friday.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Orion on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew ROWVA/Williamsfield out of the water with a 57-25 final score. The Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.

Orion has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points per game. As for Sherrard, their victory bumped their record up to 19-2.
