Baseball Recap: Milton Black Panthers vs. Lewisburg Green Dragons

Milton extended their losing streak to ten on Monday, dropping their season record down to 2-10 in the process. They came up short against the Lewisburg Green Dragons, falling 12-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Green Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-7 on April 9th.

Milton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Wolfe, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

As for Lewisburg, they moved to 4-9-1 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. They not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 19th (when they won 16-5).

On Lewisburg's side, Cohen Hoover was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Hoover has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. He has become a key player for Lewisburg: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-8-1 otherwise.

In other batting news, Garret Glathar was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Colin Shannon was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
