Volleyball Recap: Central Dauphin East Takes a Loss

If Central Dauphin East was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Reading last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Central Dauphin East fell 3-1 to the Central Dauphin Rams on Tuesday. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Central Dauphin East started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-13, 25-15, 25-12.

Marcello Burton paced Central Dauphin East's offense, picking up ten kills. Burton got some help from Pramesh Gurung and his 20 assists. Finally, Alie Kargbo kept Central Dauphin East's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Central Dauphin East's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Central Dauphin, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.
