Softball Recap: Dearborn Takes a Loss

After soaring to 17 runs the game before, Dearborn was a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They came up short against the Inter-City Baptist Chargers, falling 17-2. The Pioneers have struggled against the Chargers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Niveen Sleiman was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one double. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

Dearborn's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18-2. As for Inter-City Baptist, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-6.

While Dearborn had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
