It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but North Putnam ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Owen Valley Patriots 5-3. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Braxton Woodall was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. He has become a key player for North Putnam: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-8 otherwise.
