Charlotte Catholic had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Independence on Friday. The Charlotte Catholic Cougars were the clear victor by a 13-3 margin over the Independence Patriots. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won eight in a row.

Jack Durham tossed a big game, pitching 4.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits.

At the plate, Cooper Gornet was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. Caden O'Neill was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

As for Independence, they are taking a road trip to square off against Garinger at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
