Basketball Recap: Linn Comes Up Short at Home Against St. Elizabeth

Linn unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the St. Elizabeth Hornets on Friday, falling 49-29. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Among those leading the charge was Carter Reinkemeyer, who posted 15 points and three steals. Those 15 points gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ben Engelmeyer, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards.

Looking ahead, Linn will square off against Belle at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Elizabeth, they have already played their next contest, a 69-45 victory against Higbee on the 22nd.
