Baseball Recap: Gulf Shores Dolphins vs. White House-Heritage Patriots
Gulf Shores posted their closest win since February 28th on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 victory over the White House-Heritage Patriots.
Nate Perez was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Jacob O'Bryan was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-4.
Gulf Shores was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .484. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as White House-Heritage only posted a batting average of .308.
Gulf Shores now has a winning record of 9-8. As for White House-Heritage, they dropped their record down to 6-4 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Coming up, Gulf Shores will head out to square off against Robertsdale at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for White House-Heritage, they will take on Oak Ridge in a tournament on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Oak Ridge 3.1, White House-Heritage 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
