Basketball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Green

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Saturday. Green took down Stow-Munroe Falls 58-42. The victory was all the more spectacular given Green's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 416th, while Stow-Munroe Falls is ranked 186th).

The win (which was Green's fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-15. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.4 points over those games. As for Stow-Munroe Falls, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season.

Green and Stow-Munroe Falls are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Green will head out on the road to challenge Hoover at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hoover knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Green likes a good challenge. As for Stow-Munroe Falls, they will take on Euclid at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
