Lovejoy has gone a perfect 5-0 against Memorial recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Leopards will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Lovejoy will be strutting in after a win while Memorial will be coming in after a loss.

On Friday, Lovejoy was able to grind out a solid victory over Denison, taking the game 35-28. The Leopards haven't had any issues with the Yellow Jackets recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Lovejoy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Luke Gahan out in front who rushed for 126 yards and two scores on only ten carries. Gahan's longest rush was for an impressive 63 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Jones, who gained 157 total yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 31 points the game before, Memorial was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They were dealt a 56-7 defeat at the hands of Anna. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.

Even if they lost, Memorial's defensive line still kept up the pressure with five sacks. Hunter Metcalf refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Another thorn in Anna's side was Doug McCloud, who picked up a sack and made 16 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Memorial's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Lovejoy, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Everything came up roses for Lovejoy against Memorial in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 63-0 win. Will the Leopards repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
