Kaylee Hand spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and seven unearned) runs on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Bradshaw Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Slater, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Slater is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.
Galt's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Bradshaw Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9-1.
Galt's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's game. The Warriors have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Bradshaw Christian, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Galt continue to outrun the ball?
