Softball Recap: Ash Grove Comes Up Short

Ash Grove blew Lockwood out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Wednesday Lockwood got their revenge. The Pirates wound up with the same score they had in their last game (4-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered since April 24, 2024.

Ash Grove's record is now 2-9. As for Lockwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Ash Grove will be playing in front of their home fans against Miller at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Pirates' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lockwood, they will venture away from home to take on Pierce City at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
