Football Game Preview: Neodesha Blue Streaks vs. Frontenac Raiders

The Neodesha Blue Streaks will challenge the Frontenac Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Friday, Neodesha was able to grind out a solid victory over Baxter Springs, taking the game 35-28.

Neodesha got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tayte Leck out in front who rushed for 73 yards and one TD, and also threw for 181 yards and one touchdown. Those 73 rushing yards gave Leck a new career-high. Cole Ramey was another key pass catcher, picking up 162 receiving yards and one score.

Neodesha didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Terrence Lowry and Jayedin Huckabey.

Meanwhile, Frontenac came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They really took it to the Titans for the full four quarters, racking up a 41-14 victory. With the Raiders ahead 28-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Neodesha's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Frontenac, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Neodesha was taken down by Frontenac 57-14 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Blue Streaks were down 43-0.
