Volleyball Recap: South Salem Starts Season with Win Against Silverton

South Salem had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Silverton Foxes by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Saxons as they're now sitting on four straight dating back to last season.

South Salem had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-21, 25-23, 25-23.

Among those leading the charge was Logan Scott, who had ten digs and two aces. That's the most digs he has posted since back in May of 2024.

Silverton is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.

South Salem wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against West Salem on the 3rd. Hopefully Silverton payed attention to the Saxons' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Saxons at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
