Volleyball Recap: Westmont Hilltop Gets the Win + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Penns Valley Area, Westmont Hilltop was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Bedford Bisons 3-2. That's more bragging rights for the Hilltoppers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Westmont Hilltop was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-22, 16-25, 25-20, 15-9.

Westmont Hilltop found their leader in sophomore Cali Lynch, who had 16 assists and six digs.

Westmont Hilltop was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Despite the loss, Bedford still got an impressive performance from Rylee Lybarger, who had seven digs and five aces. Mckinley Elliott also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

Westmont Hilltop's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Bedford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Westmont Hilltop has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Central Cambria on the 9th. As for Bedford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Somerset on the 9th.
